Job summary

Legence is seeking a Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions across the organization. You will build data pipelines, optimize platforms, and ensure data quality and reliability, engaging with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.

The role is remote with preference for candidates near Legence offices in the US, working with Azure Data Factory, Fabric, Synapse, and Python to enable analytics and reporting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
• Strong SQL skills, including design and tuning.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, or similar.
• Proficiency with Python for data tasks.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience integrating data from APIs and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop data models and data warehouses/lakehouses.
• Integrate data from ERP systems, APIs, cloud platforms, databases, and third-party apps.
• Establish and maintain data governance standards, lineage, and documentation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data requirements into technical solutions.
• Document designs, data flows, and operational procedures.
