Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead large-scale data center infrastructure projects from planning through execution, coordinating across matrixed teams and ensuring on-time delivery.

The role requires ownership of scope, budgets, and schedules, with strong vendor/OEM engagement and the ability to drive accountability in a matrixed environment. Travel 85%+ is expected.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of PM experience in large-scale data center infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of rack builds, fiber/cabling, infrastructure services, deployments, and logistics/warehousing.
• Experience in hyperscale/cloud/OEM data center environments (Meta, Microsoft, AWS, Google, Oracle, etc.).
• Ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery; Smartsheet experience preferred.
• Executive presence and ability to engage with senior leadership and external partners.
• Ability to drive accountability in a matrixed environment without direct reporting authority.
• Willingness to travel 85%+; PMP preferred or open to certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale data center infrastructure projects.
• Own project scope, budgets, schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and overall delivery.
• Coordinate across technical teams, vendors, OEMs, operations, logistics, and leadership.
• Manage multiple concurrent workstreams and drive accountability across teams without direct reporting authority.
• Utilize Smartsheet and other project management tools to track schedules, budgets, deliverables, and dependencies.
• Oversee projects involving rack builds, fiber/cabling, data center services, infrastructure deployments, and warehousing/logistics.
• Partner with technical teams to understand infrastructure requirements and ensure successful deployments.
• Communicate project status, risks, budget considerations, and critical decisions to technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Drive accountability across internal teams, vendors, and partners to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

*Travel: Must be comfortable with highly intensive travel, approximately 85%+

*Openings: 10 PERM positions

*Salary: $157-165k, per-diem, $20,000 annual uncapped bonus, and benefits (medical, dental, and 401k match)

Client handles travel through travel agency - flight, hotel, rental car

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale data center infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for driving projects from planning through execution, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating across matrixed teams, and ensuring successful delivery across technical and operational workstreams.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals, executive presence, and hands-on knowledge of data center infrastructure. Experience supporting major OEM, hyperscale, or cloud environments is highly preferred.

Must-Have Experience

• Data Center Experience: Approximately 10 years of project management experience, with significant experience supporting large-scale data center infrastructure projects.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of rack builds, fiber/cabling, infrastructure services, deployments, and logistics/warehousing.
• Hyperscale/OEM Experience: Experience working within major hyperscale, cloud, OEM, or large-scale data center environments such as Meta, Microsoft, AWS, Google, Oracle, or similar.
• Project Management: Demonstrated ownership of project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery. Smartsheet experience is strongly preferred.
• Executive Presence: Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently engage with senior leadership, technical teams, and external partners.
• Matrixed Environment: Proven ability to drive accountability and influence teams without direct reporting authority.
• Travel: Must be comfortable traveling 85%+ of the time.
• PMP: Preferred, or open to obtaining certification.
