Qualifications

• About 10 years of project management experience in data center environments.
• Strong knowledge of rack builds, fiber/cabling, and infrastructure services.
• Experience with hyperscale/cloud/OEM data center contexts is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
• PMP certification is preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• Proficient in Smartsheet and other PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end management of large-scale data center infrastructure projects from planning to delivery.
• Own and manage project budgets, schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate across a matrixed environment with technical teams, vendors, OEMs, operations, and leadership.
• Manage multiple workstreams across teams not directly reporting to the PM.
• Use Smartsheet and PM tools to track schedules, budgets, and status.
• Oversee projects involving racks, fiber/cabling, data center services, warehousing/logistics, and deployment.
• Partner with technical teams to understand infrastructure requirements for deployments.
• Communicate project status, budget considerations, and decisions to technical stakeholders and executives.
• Drive accountability across internal teams, external vendors, and partners to stay on schedule and budget.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Project Manager to lead complex, large-scale data center infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for driving projects from planning through execution, managing budgets and schedules, coordinating across matrixed teams, and ensuring successful delivery across technical and operational workstreams.

The ideal candidate combines strong project management fundamentals, executive presence, and hands‑on knowledge of data center infrastructure. Experience supporting major OEM, hyperscale, or cloud environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end management of large‑scale data center infrastructure projects, including project planning, execution, tracking, and delivery.
• Own and manage project budgets, schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate across a highly matrixed environment, bringing together technical teams, vendors, OEMs, operations, leadership, and other stakeholders.
• Manage multiple simultaneous workstreams while maintaining accountability across teams that may not directly report to the Project Manager.
• Utilize Smartsheet and other project management tools to track schedules, deliverables, budgets, dependencies, and project status.
• Oversee projects involving rack builds, fiber/cabling, data center services, warehousing/logistics, and infrastructure deployment.
• Partner closely with technical teams and understand the infrastructure requirements necessary to successfully execute data center deployments.
• Communicate project status, risks, budget considerations, and critical decisions to both technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Drive accountability across internal teams, external vendors, and partners to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.

Skills and Requirements

• Approximately 10 years of project management experience, with significant experience supporting data center infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of rack builds, fiber/cabling, infrastructure services, deployment, and logistics/warehousing.
• Experience working within large-scale hyperscale, cloud, OEM, or data center environments, ideally supporting organizations such as Meta, Microsoft, AWS, Google, Oracle, or similar companies.
• Demonstrated experience owning project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery.
• Experience with Smartsheet strongly preferred.
• Strong executive presence and ability to communicate confidently with senior leadership and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment and influence teams without direct reporting authority.
• Comfortable with extensive travel requirements.
• PMP certification preferred, or openness to obtaining one.
