Darwin Recruitment is seeking a Mission Critical Mechanical Engineer for data center projects. The role focuses on producing mechanical models, drawings, and calculations for chilled water and air side systems, using Revit MEP.

NDA applies; no travel and no client-facing tasks. Candidate should have 3–5 years of mechanical building systems design, advanced Revit skills, and hands-on hydronic and air-side design with familiarity with US codes and ASHRAE standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mechanical building systems design experience.
• Advanced Revit skills for MEP modelling (essential); Bluebeam Revu experience.
• Hands-on hydronic design: chilled water, condenser water, heated water piping; pipe sizing and pumps/valves.
• Air-side design and equipment selection: AHU sizing, VAV, CRAHs, FCUs; air balance.
• Mechanical controls: sequences of operation and points lists for chillers/pumps/fans.
• familiarity with US codes, ASHRAE standards and imperial units.
• Reviewing cut sheets, submittals and shop drawings; coordinate with electrical and plumbing disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Produce coordinated mechanical models, drawings, and calculations for data center projects.
• Focus on production deliverables with NDA compliance.
• No client-facing work or travel; work within a design team environment.
