Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a Commissioning Engineer II to support data center project commissioning across mechanical, electrical and controls systems. You will be hands-on in the field, run test procedures, document results, coordinate with trades, and advance systems from pre-functional tests to turnover.

Location: Remote (75% Travel). This role emphasizes growth toward independent project ownership, requires 2+ years in data center commissioning, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data center commissioning or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Knowledge of data center power distribution and cooling infrastructure
• Ability to read construction drawings and diagrams
• Strong documentation habits and record-keeping
• Willingness to travel 75% on project sites

Responsibilities

• Support execution of commissioning test procedures across mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines.
• Document test results, deficiencies, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with trade contractors and subcontractors to schedule commissioning activities.
• Review installation conditions against drawings and specs to verify readiness.
• Develop and review commissioning test scripts, MOPs, and punch lists.
• Track open deficiencies and drive closure with the project team.
• Participate in startup activities and factory witness testing as assigned.
• Maintain commissioning logs, field reports, and turnover documentation.
• Support integrated systems testing for MEP and BMS/EPMS infrastructure.
• Adhere to site safety protocols and communicate progress, issues, and risks.
