Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Data Center Commissioning Project Engineer (Electrical) for a full-time remote role with heavy travel up to 75%. The candidate should have 2+ years of data center commissioning experience, a bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, and strong problem-solving skills.

The role involves leading commissioning activities for large data center projects and coordinating energy/MEP systems.

Qualifications

2+ years of Data Center Commissioning experience (Electrical/Mechanical).
Willing to travel up to 75% for project work, training, and inter-office business (expenses paid).
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
Experience managing design/energy services commissioning project resources to pre-determined scope, fee, and schedule.
Knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE, LEED.
Effective leadership and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform construction observations and review contract documents for data center projects.
Develop functional test plans and execute tests for mechanical and controls systems.
Assist in energy studies and contribute to design/energy projects for multiple clients.
Coordinate commissioning activities to meet budget and schedule targets.
Provide technical leadership on data center MEP systems and retro-commissioning efforts.
