Job summary

ABB in the United States is seeking a Project Manager for Electrification Services to lead project teams, develop planning documents, and ensure cost, schedule, and HSE controls across initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with customers and suppliers to meet contract requirements.

You will coordinate risk management, ensure compliant execution, and travel up to 20% to kickoff and execution activities. A BS in engineering and U.S. work authorization are required; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years in electrical industry as PM/SME with switchgear, protection and control, energy management, or field services in data centers or power markets
• Experience in managing project scope, cost, schedules and vendors/subcontractors
• Knowledge of IEC61850, ABB protection and control offerings (ZEE600, SSC600, PCM600) and related tools is a plus
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for kickoff/execution
• PMP certification is a plus
• US work authorization required

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team and oversee execution, planning, monitoring and control for internal/external resources
• Develop and maintain project planning documents
• Monitor costs, resources and HSE across projects
• Identify risks and disseminate lessons learned
• Coordinate contract negotiations and claims with customers
• Manage external suppliers to ensure equipment, systems, materials and services are available
• Serve as escalation point for project issues
• Ensure deliverables meet contract requirements
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
