Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist or Technician to support Mission Critical Data Center projects within our Community Development Group. The role involves site design, permitting, construction documents, and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams across geographic regions, with potential for remote work.

You will draft civil plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, perform grading and utility design calculations, and assist engineers in preparing reports, estimates, and construction

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of drafting experience on civil engineering projects.
• Technical degree or equivalent preferred, but not required with sufficient experience.
• Proactive, solution-oriented team player with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects with engineers, project managers, and design team members.
• Deliver high quality drafting of engineering drawings and exhibits.
• Maintain and develop drafting standards and mentoring staff.
• Draft civil plans using AutoDesk Civil 3D.
• Perform site grading analyses and quantity take-offs using Civil 3D.
• Work independently and with teams to meet project timelines.
• Assist with site design, utility design, and overall plan production.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure design intent.
