Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician to support Mission Critical Data Center projects within the Community Development Group. The role involves private civil site designs, construction documents, and collaboration with engineers across regions.

A proactive approach and strong Civil 3D skills are essential. Projects serve Fortune 10 clients; office-based work is typical, with potential for remote work for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of drafting experience on civil projects.
• Technical degree or equivalent preferred but not required if experience proves competence.
• Proactive, solution-oriented and able to work in a team across regions.

Responsibilities

• Draft civil site plans and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D to support design teams.
• Support with design development, schedules, and cost opinions where applicable.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure design intent.
• Prepare reports, calculations, and construction documents for various projects.
• Assist with field observations and coordination of construction activities.
• Maintain drafting standards and mentor junior staff as needed.
