Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Architect to empower risk decision-making with optimized dashboards and analytics. The role emphasizes Tableau Prep/Desktop/Server, Power BI, SQL, and Python to transform raw data into actionable insights for mission-critical applications.

The position is 100% remote, offering collaboration with the Risk Decision Group and enterprise reporting initiatives. Strong communication and governance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a T5/SSBI clearance.
• Minimum 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.
• Expertise in Tableau Prep, Desktop, and Server administration.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
• Advanced SQL skills with large datasets.
• Experience in database indexes and performance tuning.
• Hands-on Python for data cleaning, transformation, automation.
• Experience building an Enterprise Data Warehouse and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports with Tableau and Power BI.
• Develop advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Build and optimize ETL workflows using Tableau Prep and Python.
• Manage content, data sources, and performance on Tableau Server.
• Write complex SQL to extract and analyze data from sources.
• Collaborate with partners to translate data needs into insights.
• Ensure data accuracy and quality through validation and testing.
• Support BI governance and best practices across the analytics stack.
• Automate recurring reports using Python or SQL-based solutions.
