Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Data Architect for its Risk Decision Group to design, develop, and optimize analytic solutions enabling data-driven decision making across critical missions. This role is fully remote within the United States.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience with Tableau Prep/Desktop/Server, Power BI, SQL, and Python, and will transform raw data into scalable dashboards while supporting enterprise reporting and BI governance.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must obtain and maintain a T5/SSBI clearance.
• Minimum 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD.
• Expertise in Tableau Prep, Desktop, and Server administration.
• Strong Power BI proficiency including DAX and data modeling.
• Advanced SQL with large datasets.
• Experience designing and optimizing database indexes.
• Python for data cleaning, transformation, and automation.
• Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse design and support.
• Ability to translate data into clear insights and maintain SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports with Tableau Desktop and Power BI.
• Develop advanced T-SQL queries, procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Develop and optimize data workflows and ETL with Tableau Prep and Python.
• Manage content, permissions, data sources, and performance in Tableau Server.
• Write complex SQL to analyze structured and unstructured data.
• Collaborate with business partners to deliver insights.
• Ensure data accuracy and quality through validation and testing.
• Support BI governance and documentation across analytics.
• Automate recurring reporting tasks using Python or SQL.
