Job summary

Kraken is seeking a Data Analyst, Regulatory Analytics and Reporting to turn complex compliance data into actionable insights. You will design dashboards and reports, automate data pipelines, and partner with regulatory teams to ensure audit readiness across AML, KYC, sanctions frameworks.

You'll own end-to-end data management from data sources to executive dashboards, collaborate with engineers and compliance, and translate regulatory requests into scalable analytics solutions for leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data analysis and data management in financial services or a regulated industry with hands-on experience in AML, KYC, sanctions, MiCA, or MiFID.
• Strong understanding of regulatory risk and audit-ready environments.
• Proficiency in SQL with complex joins, CTEs, and analytical functions; Python (pandas, matplotlib, plotly).
• Experience modeling data with dbt and managing data pipelines; orchestration tooling.
• Experience building BI dashboards (QuickSight, Power BI, Superset) for executives.
• Excellent communicator able to simplify complex data for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Alignment with Kraken's Tentaclements document.

Responsibilities

• Own the design of dashboards, compliance metrics, and regulatory reports for stakeholders and regional compliance officers.
• Automate end-to-end compliance data solutions and governance to boost efficiency.
• Analyze large datasets to create scalable, audit-ready data models for reporting and analytics.
• Translate regulatory and business requests into accurate reports and automated data pipelines using Python, SQL, DBT, Airflow.
• Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, engineers, and compliance teams to maintain high-quality data sources.
• Coordinate client data quality monitoring and remediation with responsible teams for timely resolution.
• Support ad-hoc data requests for audits, exams, risk assessments, and day-to-day needs.
• Deliver insights that guide compliance direction through data-driven storytelling.
