Job summary

Solid Starts is seeking a Data Analyst to join our remote team and work directly with the CTO and leadership to turn product and business data into actionable insights. You will define metrics, build dashboards in PostHog, and support experimentation programs with rigorous analysis and clear recommendations.

You will translate strategic questions into measurable analyses, present findings to leadership, and help teams define outcomes for new initiatives.

Qualifications

• Professional experience analyzing product, customer, or business data.
• Hands-on experience using PostHog for dashboards and behavioral analysis.
• Ability to turn ambiguous business questions into structured analytical work.
• Strong understanding of funnels, cohorts, segmentation, retention, and product metrics.
• Hands-on experience supporting A/B tests from pre-launch metric definition to results analysis.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain clear dashboards in PostHog for product and business performance.
• Partner with leadership to define metrics and ensure consistent calculation.
• Create self-service reporting for recurring questions.
• Document metric definitions, filters, assumptions, and limitations.
• Analyze user acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and conversion.
• Investigate changes in performance and surface opportunities.
• Translate experiment goals into clear test plans and analyze results.
• Present findings with concise summaries, visuals, and recommendations.
