Job summary

Meriplex is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to deliver hands-on security engineering and advisory services for client environments across infrastructure, cloud, networks, and endpoints. You will design, deploy, configure, and support security technologies while aligning with business objectives and operations.

The role partners with clients to understand security maturity, document architectures, and provide guidance to internal teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in security industry or equivalent.
• Experience managing Active Directory and Windows Server.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; strong practical experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Design and secure security infrastructure to ensure robust posture.
• Perform complex deployments of security technologies.
• Execute information security activities (vulnerability management, app security, risk management).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate controls into client environments.
• Develop and maintain security documentation and incident response playbooks.
• Understand and apply standards like NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS.
• Stay current with threats and proactively implement countermeasures.
• Provide technical guidance on security best practices and compliance.
• Research and deploy next‑gen security solutions as needed.
• Assist in incident response activities (firewall reviews, SIEM, XDR).
