Job summary

New Charter is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, United States–based role. You will lead multi-framework compliance programs, provide vCISO advisory services, and guide risk assessments while collaborating with clients and internal teams to strengthen security maturity.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in information security/governance, strong audit experience, and a passion for leading teams in a fast‑growing MSP/MSSP environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information technology, cybersecurity, governance, risk, or regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance programs across NIST CSF, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
• Provide vCISO advisory services and executive risk reporting.
• Oversee risk assessments, policy development, and evidence collection.
• Mentor Security & Compliance Analysts as the team grows.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to align security with regulatory obligations.
