Job summary

New Charter is seeking a remote Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager to lead security programs, risk management, and advisory services for clients in the United States. You’ll partner with clients and executives to strengthen security programs and meet contractual obligations.

You will drive multi-framework initiatives (NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001) and provide vCISO guidance, audit support, and risk reporting while coaching the security team as the organization

Qualifications

8+ years in IT, cybersecurity, governance, risk or regulatory compliance.
Active CISSP certification in good standing.
Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audits.
Experience conducting risk assessments and managing vendor risk.

Responsibilities

Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives across multiple frameworks and audits.
Provide vCISO advisory, security strategy, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
Oversee risk assessments, third-party risk, and vendor due diligence.
Coach Security & Compliance Analysts as the team grows.
Translate risks into actionable remediation plans and ensure governance.
Collaborate with security ops on incident response and remediation activities.
