Job summary

New Charter is seeking a Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager for a remote, United States–based role. You will lead cybersecurity compliance programs, risk management initiatives, and strategic security advisory services for clients, partnering with executives and security teams.

The role requires extensive experience with NIST CSF, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and related frameworks, plus strong client-facing communication and governance skills.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT, cybersecurity, governance, risk or regulatory compliance.
• Active CISSP certification in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives including risk assessments, policy development, audit prep, evidence collection, and ongoing monitoring across multiple frameworks.
• Conduct gap assessments, framework crosswalks, and remediation tracking to strengthen client programs.
• Oversee the Security Program Platform and governance, risk and compliance processes.
