Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking a remote Cybersecurity and Compliance Manager in the United States to lead cybersecurity compliance programs, risk management initiatives, and vCISO advisory services for clients.

You will partner with clients and internal teams to drive multi-framework implementations (NIST CSF, SOC 2, CIS Controls, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001) and guide a growing security and compliance practice.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in information technology, cybersecurity, governance, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Active CISSP certification in good standing.
• Strong knowledge of NIST CSF, CIS Controls, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, CMMC, ISO 27001 with audits & evidence management.
• Experience conducting risk assessments, managing third‑party/vendor risk, and using GRC/compliance automation platforms.
• Strong client-facing communication and the ability to advise executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity compliance initiatives including risk assessments, policy development, audit preparation, evidence collection, and ongoing monitoring across major frameworks.
• Conduct compliance gap assessments, framework crosswalks, maturity evaluations, and remediation tracking.
• Oversee Security Program Platform and governance, risk and compliance processes.
• Provide vCISO advisory services, including strategy, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
• Collaborate with security operations on incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation activities.
• Communicate security findings and risks to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
