Job summary

GHY International is seeking a Trade Specialist to elevate the client experience beyond entry processing. You will oversee daily client needs, audit shipments, and translate complex customs regulations into practical guidance while collaborating with the release team.

You bring extensive customs knowledge, a CCS designation, and a US Broker license. This role offers remote flexibility and growth within a supportive, client-focused team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customs brokerage or related industry experience.
• Certified CCS designation.
• U.S. Customs Broker License (REQUIRED for Remote Work).
• Experience applying customs knowledge to client needs and transactional processing.

Responsibilities

• Own the client experience: support day-to-day client needs, answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and find solutions.
• Audit customs entries and released shipments to identify errors and opportunities for improvement.
• Stay current on CBP regulations and Partner Government Agency requirements, translating them into practical guidance.
• Communicate professionally with clients, carriers, vendors, Customs, and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain client work instructions, databases, and other critical account information.
• Support accurate customs entry processing across transportation modes when needed.
• Coach and mentor teammates with transactional processing and client requirements.
• Recognize risks and make timely decisions to protect clients and GHY.
