Job summary

A.N. Deringer is seeking a remote role supporting our Detroit, MI team. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST, focusing on processing and assimilating customer data to move goods across borders.

You will serve as a customer service liaison, resolve billing and shipment issues, and handle customs entries to ensure regulatory compliance. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior customs brokerage experience.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma/GED required.
• Previous customs brokerage experience required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the customer service liaison between the company and the customer(s).
• Resolves problems (billing, tracking shipments) and handles customer concerns. Builds relationships with customers.
• Processes Customs and PGA entries for clearance of goods into the United States.
• Opens files, enters notes, information and document requests in corporate systems.
• Reviews commercial invoices for proper information and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates shipments from airline, ocean piers and CFS to customer destination.
• Maintains communication with customers, carriers and vendors.
• Handles confidential information and contributes to process improvements.
