A.N. Deringer, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for a fully remote role that supports the Chicago team.

Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM EST with a focus on supervision of import, transportation, logistics, and customs brokerage operations. The position emphasizes client support, staff development, and timely completion of branch tasks to deliver excellent service. Qualifications

Licensed customs broker credential required.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience.
Strong leadership and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

Develop and motivate a team to optimize performance and growth.
Pursue new sales leads while maintaining existing clients.
Assist in managing payable/receivable/quoting and P&L.
Provide guidance for daily CHB operations and staff.
Monitor workflow and ensure timely customer communications and issue resolution.
Oversee office colleagues, review progress and resolve technical problems.
Adjust personnel and assignments to meet deadlines across shifts.
Conduct regular audits and report findings to management.
Stay updated on industry changes and communicate updates to the team.
Maintain positive relationships with CBP and other agencies for entry resolution.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
