Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana is hiring a Customer Service Trainee to support inquiries and claims processing from a Michigan-based workforce. The role requires one year of customer service experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to use computer systems for member and provider questions.

Training begins in a hybrid format with occasional team meetings in Farmington Hills. This is a full-time remote position with shifts to accommodate business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of customer service experience in a business environment requiring computer use.
• Customer service simulation test: pass with 62/100 or waived if previously completed at Delta Dental or previously held related role.

Responsibilities

• Research inquiries by accessing the claims processing system and other sources.
• Respond to customer/group and provider questions by phone or written communication.
• Maintain related departmental records and files.
• Operate office equipment (PC, calculator, copier, fax, etc.).
• Make corrections to claims and eligibility.
• Enter new claims, eligibility and subscriber information into the mainframe.
• Review subscriber coverage to determine benefit type and level.
