Job summary

A high school diploma is required, along with about one year of customer service experience in a business environment using computer systems, and the ability to work shifts as posted.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• About one year of customer service experience in a business environment that uses computer programs to assist customers (preferably in a call center and/or dental experience).
• Successful completion of the customer service simulation test (score 62/100) or waiver conditions apply.
• Shift-specific start times for first and second shifts (as posted).

Responsibilities

• Researches inquiries by accessing the claims processing system and other informational sources.
• Responds to customer/group and provider questions via telephone or written communication with proper etiquette and grammar.
• Maintains related departmental records and files.
• Operates office equipment including computer, calculator, copier, and fax.
• Makes corrections to claims and eligibility.
• Enters new claims, eligibility and subscriber information into the mainframe.
• Reviews subscriber’s coverage to determine type and level of benefits.
