Job summary

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana is seeking a Customer Service Trainee to join our team. The role supports inquiries from customers and providers, using phone or written communication, and requires you to reside in Michigan for meetings and training.

The position involves entry of claims and eligibility data, basic claims corrections, and using the mainframe to review subscriber benefits. Training will be hybrid and candidates should have at least one year of relevant customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of customer service in a computer-based environment.
• Successful completion of the customer service simulation test (minimum score 62/100) unless waived.

Responsibilities

• Researches inquiries by accessing the claims processing system and other informational sources.
• Responds to customer/group and provider questions via telephone or written communication with proper etiquette.
• Maintains related departmental records and files.
• Operates office equipment including PC, calculator, copier, or fax.
• Merges corrections to claims and eligibility and enters new data into the mainframe.
