Job summary

Respage is hiring a Software Engineer for a fully remote role within the United States, requiring residency in PA, NJ, DE, OH, or FL. You’ll turn customer needs into requirements, make thoughtful technical decisions, and deliver reliable software with AI-enhanced processes.

You will own end-to-end delivery, work with customers and teammates to define acceptance criteria, and continuously improve through feedback and QA collaboration.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to explain complex ideas clearly.
• Ability to work directly with customers and colleagues to uncover needs.
• Proficiency in a modern programming language and building/maintaining applications.
• Strong commitment to quality, thoughtful design, testing, and customer experience.
• Sound problem-solving skills and balance immediate needs with maintainability.
• Experience getting useful results from AI tools, providing context and verification.
• Accountability for software delivered, including AI-assisted code and handling information.

Responsibilities

• Partner with customers and internal teams to understand problems and define requirements.
• Translate business needs into practical technical approaches, outlining options and tradeoffs.
• Design, implement, test, and maintain software with attention to correctness, usability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to identify edge cases and ensure quality from the start.
• Communicate progress, risks, and scope changes early to keep stakeholders aligned.
• Participate in code reviews and document decisions to aid future maintenance.
• Use AI for design exploration, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation with context.
• Own changes through release and follow-up, using customer feedback to improve the product.
• Ensure security, performance, and maintainability considerations throughout development.
