Job summary

The Puyenpa family of companies is seeking a Customer Service Representative II to support CMS CERT. The role involves courteously contacting providers to obtain required medical record documentation and summarizing requests clearly to minimize follow-up calls in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates with CERT experience preferred; bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged. This remote role can be performed from various counties across the US, with collaboration to the Medical Records team and

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent with related experience.
• Two years of customer service, call center and/or medical records experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare forms.

Responsibilities

• Requests records and information from providers.
• Responds to provider inquiries promptly and professionally to provide resolution.
• Analyzes provider questions to determine best use of resources to resolve the situation.
• Serves as liaison between providers and internal departments.
• Professionally responds to all written inquiries (letter, fax, e-mail).
• Processes rejected records and coordinates resubmission of legible copies.
• Assists providers in identifying what is being requested and answers queries.
• Provides records to Medical Records Clerks for assignment and supports workload as needed.
• Maintains competency and attends required education and training.
• Complies with departmental protocols, policies and procedures.
