Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I/II or RCIS Crop Claims Specialist in Kansas. The role is home-based with ~50% travel and requires living within a 100-mile radius of several Kansas counties.

Responsibilities include field inspections, conveying regulations, and gathering loss facts to determine indemnities. Preferred candidates have a High School Diploma, CAPP certification, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• CAPP certification must be obtained with 180 days of hire date.

Responsibilities

• With minimal supervision, completes field inspections and related tasks such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields, storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers on complex claims.
• Conveys complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry personnel on claim situations.
• Performs fact finding regarding crop damage and transmits loss information to accurately determine indemnities.
• Gathers relevant facts, applying applicable law and basic negligence principles.
• Completes claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory and company policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
