Zurich North America is seeking an RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to work remotely from Wisconsin, serving within a 100-mile radius of Marinette, Oconto, or Shawano counties. The role involves field inspections, loss evaluation, and interaction with farmers and agents to determine indemnities.

The position requires a High School diploma, CAPP certification within 180 days, reliable transportation, and a valid license, with up to 50% travel and a 40-hour workweek.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
• Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
• Valid Driver’s License
• RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements: walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb bins up to 25 feet, lift 25–50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• With minimal supervision, completes field inspections and discusses findings with farmers on complex claims.
• Conveys complex regulations and interpretations to claimants, agents, and industry people on claim situations.
• Performs fact finding regarding crop damage and transmits loss information to determine potential indemnities.
• Gather relevant facts, utilizing applicable law and establishing basic negligence principles.
• Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned.
