Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring a Credentialing Specialist to support the Provider Credentialing team in a remote role. You will manage credentialing tasks, interact with providers and internal teams, and ensure accurate data handling while adhering to regulatory standards.

The role reports to the Manager, Provider Credentialing and offers benefits, paid time off, and a focus on process improvement in a growth-focused health tech environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a fast-paced, volume-based or customer service environment.
• Credentialing or provider-facing experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of health insurance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of credentialing processes, procedures, and tools.
• Interact daily with providers or internal teams.
• Manage an assigned caseload with focus on service, productivity, and quality.
• Form working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Support leadership by identifying issues through established escalation pathways.
• Monitor and track health of all WIP issues and escalate as needed.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ensure PHI compliance.
