Job summary

Dane Street is seeking a Credentialing Assistant to screen reviewers for credentialing and background information, coordinating across departments to uphold standards. The role requires attention to detail and experience in credentialing within healthcare or insurance settings, along with strong communication and time-management skills.

The position supports updating credentials, performing background checks, and ensuring compliance with URAC and relevant guidelines.

Qualifications

• An Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
• Credentialing experience in a healthcare or insurance setting preferred.
• Knowledge of URAC and relevant State and Federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Enter reviewer application data and perform primary source verification.
• Communicate application status with the Operations team.
• Apply Do Not Use status and Medical Director comments in Judgments document.
• Update licenses, board certifications, and registrations for expiration status.
• Create and receive sanctions check reports and forward to Medical Director for review.
• Obtain W-9 documents and manage profile changes as needed.
• Assist in updating fee schedules and related documentation.
• Participate in Quality Management Committee activities and follow up tasks.
