Job summary

Flagstar Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager Team Lead-Commercial Real Estate to manage and guide a CRE loan relationships portfolio. The role leads deal origination, pricing, underwriting, and closing processes, coordinating with product specialists, portfolio managers, and support teams.

The position emphasizes mentoring, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance while driving revenue growth and ROE.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Degree (4 years) in business or finance.
• 15+ years of experience in commercial lending.
• 5+ years in CRE lending RM or commercial lending sales.
• Credit training is preferred.

Responsibilities

• New Business Origination. Develops and maintains relationships to generate direct deal flow; Coordinates the team approach to approving and closing new deals to grow assets and revenues while optimizing profitability (ROE).
• Orients, mentors, trains and assists Relationship Managers.
• Leads trouble shooting of escalated issues.
• Monitors and assists with the most complex/high risk deals.
• Monitors workload and quality of the team’s production.
• Promotes team approach, drives group revenues while optimizing profitability (ROE).
• Works with assigned portfolio managers, engage with sponsors and borrowers on ideas to expand our relationship.
