Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Remote CPMA Educator & Auditor to support the Coding, Documentation Quality Assurance (CDQA) team. The role involves enterprise-wide coding policy implementation, regulatory compliance, and conducting internal audits and staff training across departments and providers.

Remote work is offered with travel to NM sites when required. The position requires knowledge of ICD-9, CPT-4, HCPCS, and regulatory guidelines, plus robust experience in auditing,

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; 3 years of additional clinical healthcare related experience can substitute for degree.
• RN and audit experience preferred.
• Must have proficient knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and third party payer documentation, coding, and billing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Manager, Information Services, Finance/Patient Financial Services, hospitals, PHP, and other departments on coding, auditing, compliance and training.
• Maintain current standards of care in clinical documentation.
• Ensure accurate, complete, timely documentation in electronic or hard copy form.
• Develop and implement corrective action plans to ensure regulatory compliance and address risks.
• Contribute to CDQA Annual Audit Work-plan and deliver training on coding, auditing, and EPIC EMR education.
