Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Remote CPMA Educator & Auditor to support the CDQA team with coding policy implementation, training, and internal audits. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, documentation accuracy, and handling inquiries from external agencies.

You will contribute to enterprise-wide audit plans, analyze data, and provide education to providers and staff on coding and EMR documentation. Travel may be required for on-site reviews.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; 3 years additional clinical healthcare experience may substitute for degree.
• 2 years clinical healthcare experience required.
• RN and audit experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-9, CPT-4 and HCPCS required.
• Proficient with Medicare/Medicaid and other payer regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Liaison to the Manager, Information Services, Finance/Patient Financial Services and all hospitals and departments on coding, auditing, compliance and training issues.
• Maintain current standards of care in clinical documentation.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in electronic or hard copy form.
• Disseminate regulatory information and updates across jurisdictions.
• Research and implement corrective actions for coding/billing compliance.
• Assist in CDQA Annual Audit Work-plan development and risk assessments.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare findings for management.
• Provide education and training on coding, documentation and compliance.
