Qualifications

• RHIT, RHIA, CPC or CCS certification or three years in coding/auditing.
• MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency required.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer rules.
• Willingness to travel as needed for sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist in CDQA annual audit work-plan development.
• Conduct on-site and remote audits for coding and documentation quality.
• Provide education and training on coding compliance.
• Investigate coding and billing issues and prepare corrective actions.
• Communicate results to management and track action plans.
