Job summary

Graphite Financial Group is seeking a Senior Associate, Accounting — CPG to own complex CPG accounting areas across US-based client engagements from a remote base in India. You will support month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

The role requires CPG accounting experience, US GAAP proficiency, and the ability to communicate clearly with US-based teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field; CA strongly preferred.
• 3–6 years of professional accounting with ownership of complex areas; US clients/US GAAP required.
• Demonstrated CPG accounting experience (trade promotion, inventory reconciliation, multi-channel COGS).
• Strong US GAAP knowledge; apply to journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel; familiarity with NetSuite/Sage Intacct/Cin7 is a plus.
• Experience in outsourced accounting or BPO serving US-based clients preferred.
• Excellent written English; professional communication in emails/docs.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams across client engagements with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Own and independently complete complex CPG accounting areas across client engagements.
• Perform inventory accounting, landed cost, and reconciliations for CPG clients.
• Apply correct COGS structure and gross-to-net revenue accounting across channels.
• Manage accruals with documentation and support journal entries and reconciliations.
• Ensure month-end close areas are completed with independence and quality.
