Job summary

Graphite Financial is a growing boutique finance firm providing fractional leadership and accounting support to startup and high-growth companies. The Client Lead, Accounting — CPG oversees client relationships and the complete accounting delivery for a portfolio of consumer packaged goods brands.

You will manage monthly closes, prepare financial statements, and provide strategic financial insights to founders and management teams navigating rapid growth and fundraising.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required and CPA is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4–7 years of accounting experience with month-end close ownership.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with CPG accounting (trade promotions, deductions, landed cost).
• Experience with multi-channel revenue and COGS for DTC, retail, Amazon, and distributors.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to communicate financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the client relationship and full accounting delivery for an assigned CPG portfolio.
• Oversee monthly close for all clients in the portfolio and approve associate work.
• Prepare financial statements, board reports, and management commentary.
• Identify margin trends and working capital observations to inform client decisions.
