Job summary

Graphite Financial is seeking a Client Lead, Accounting — CPG to own relationships and all accounting delivery for a portfolio of consumer packaged goods clients. This is a fully remote, client-facing role focused on accuracy, timeliness, and client satisfaction across engagements.

You will manage the full close, prepare statements and board packs, and surface strategic insights on margin and spend. Strong CPG knowledge and GAAP expertise are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 4–7 years of accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close.
• CPG accounting experience including trade promotions, deductions, landed cost, and inventory valuation.
• VC-backed company experience, SAFE and convertible note accounting a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned CPG clients, onboarding through monthly delivery.
• Oversee the full monthly close cycle and review work before client delivery.
• Prepare financial statements, board reporting packages, and management commentary.
• Proactively surface margin, cost structure, and working capital insights for clients.
• Engage with operations, supply chain, and sales teams to produce accurate financial reporting.
