Qualifications

• CPC/CCS certification required.
• 3–5 years of physician billing experience (AR and collections).
• Experience with an electronic medical record (eMR) system.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting software.

Responsibilities

• Perform retrospective coding and documentation review of denied charges for physician services.
• Analyze denial trends and payer submission requirements.
• Follow up to resolve payment denial trends.
• Substantiate corrected claim submissions with appropriate documentation.
