Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• College degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and third-party reimbursement.
• Experience in an office setting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate credit transactions using Credit Work Queues.
• Develop strategies to reduce credit balances and improve resolution efficiency.
• Respond to payer requests for information and validation of coverages.
• Process denials, recoupment, and refund documents across patient accounts.
• Review AR for credit/adjustment discrepancies and take action.
• Research credit balance inquiries using EPIC, banking and insurance portals.
• Notate and report inconsistent financial transactions; monitor credit patterns.
