Active CPA in good standing and 5+ years of tax experience are highly valued. Familiarity with tax software like ProSeries, Lacerte, or Drake is a plus. Remote US-only engagement.

Qualifications

• CPA license in good standing
• 5+ years of tax preparation or advisory experience
• Strong experience with personal and small business returns
• Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience evaluating AI-generated content or giving structured feedback is a plus
• Experience developing rubrics or assessment criteria is preferred
• Familiarity with ProSeries, Lacerte, Drake or similar tax software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review Form 1040, Schedule C, 1120-S, and 1065 tax returns.
• Provide tax guidance and explain complex tax concepts clearly.
• Review AI-generated tax advice against defined rubrics and scoring criteria.
• Verify tax documentation, filing requirements, deadlines, and forms.
• Develop and refine tax-related evaluation rubrics and grading standards.
• Stay current with federal and applicable state tax laws.
