Job summary

Uprise is seeking a licensed CPA or EA to advise clients on tax planning and complex returns. You will meet clients, walk them through their returns, and provide year-round guidance on estimates and planning. You will collaborate with Tax Compliance Managers and contribute to product development for tax tech tools.

The role supports high earners with multi-state, stock compensation, K-1s, real estate, and partnerships. It offers remote work across the U.S. and includes equity in the company.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license or EA credential.
• 3–5 years tax experience at a firm serving business owners and high earners.
• Experience with multi-state returns, K-1 investments, RSUs/stock options, S corp and partnership pass-through, and real estate.
• Experience meeting with clients and explaining complex situations clearly.

Responsibilities

• Meet new clients to understand their needs and year-round planning.
• Walk clients through draft returns and explain changes from prior year.
• Review returns before filing to ensure accuracy.
• Answer planning questions throughout the year, including quarterly estimates.
