Job summary

Magna Legal Services is seeking a Maggie™ Court Reporter for Tennessee to maintain the official written record of proceedings, either remotely or in-person. You will work with attorneys on depositions and hearings using Maggie™ AI court reporting software to capture speech in real time.

This is a salaried, benefits-eligible role with in-house training and a tiered reporter program (Levels 1–3) offering advancement and potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• Proof of passage of one of the national examinations – NCRA, NVRA, or AAERT (NCRA RPR, NVRA CVR, or AAERT CER and CET per TCA)
• Documentation showing certified reporting method (Electronic, Machine Shorthand, Hand Writer, Voice Writer)
• Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s preferred
• Notary Public certificate required; assistance in obtaining provided
• Court Reporting Certification encouraged; assistance in obtaining provided
• Excellent English grammar, spelling, and punctuation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with computers
• Ability to concentrate for extended periods and meet deadlines
• Hybrid work schedule with remote and in-person work

Responsibilities

• Keeper of the record for deposits and hearings
• Administer the oath to witnesses
• Realtime transcription editing using Maggie proprietary software
• Protect the official record by intervening in cross-talk
• Gather and preserve information for final transcript
• Manage transcript delivery timelines and client communication
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure quality standards
• Finalize and certify transcripts as true and accurate records
