ASCO is seeking an Associate Counsel to provide legal advice to ASCO and its affiliates, supporting senior attorneys on day-to-day legal issues, contract review, research, and HR/compliance matters. Primary location in Alexandria, VA or remote candidates welcome.

Responsibilities include HR-related transactions, vendor contract reviews, and cross-departmental negotiations to support ASCO programs and licenses with efficiency and integrity.

Qualifications

• JD and active Bar membership in good standing.
• Strong analytical, drafting, and research abilities.
• Contract drafting and negotiation experience.

Responsabilités

• Serve as primary attorney for HR-related transactional and regulatory matters.
• Review vendor contracts and maintain employee handbook guidance.
• Provide legal support for business and contract negotiations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate program agreements, including international expansion.
• Draft, review, and negotiate content licensing and hotel/meeting contracts.
• Perform legal research and write memoranda for internal clients.
• Maintain client relationships with designated departments.
