Job summary

Propelis, a global marketing services group, seeks a Cost Production Estimator to lead and coordinate the cost estimating process, evaluating cost effectiveness and profitability while preparing and tracking estimates and purchase orders. This is a full-time role with remote flexibility for US-based candidates.

This position supports manufacturing facilities in East Butler, PA and Cincinnati, OH, and requires collaboration with engineers, clients and contractors to optimize costs while

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or related field.
• 6+ years of cost estimating experience.
• Occasional travel locally, nationally or internationally.
• Proficient in MS Office; strong analytical, budgeting and planning skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication and collaborative abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such as production time, materials and labor.
• Attends product meetings or site visits to gather costs.
• Reads blueprints and documents to prepare estimates.
• Collaborates with engineers, architects, clients and contractors.
• Consults with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues.
• Uses software to calculate estimates and generate reports.
• Evaluates cost-effectiveness and profitability of products.
• Provides recommendations to make products more cost efficient.
• Works with sales teams to prepare estimates and bids.
• Develops project plans for the duration of each project.
• Prepares estimates for clients and managers.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
