Job summary

Collide, part of the Propelis Group, is seeking a Cost Production Estimator to coordinate the cost estimating process. This remote-friendly role supports manufacturing facilities in East Butler, PA and Cincinnati, OH, evaluating cost effectiveness and profitability while preparing estimates and purchase orders.

Responsibilities include gathering material and labor data, reading blueprints, collaborating with engineers and clients, and delivering cost reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
• 6+ years of cost estimating experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MS Office and internet applications.
• Strong analytical, budgeting and project management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify cost factors such as time, materials and labor.
• Attend meetings or site visits to gather cost information.
• Read blueprints and documents to prepare estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, clients and contractors on estimates.
• Develop project plans and prepare client estimates and bids.
• Use software to calculate estimates and report findings.
• Assess cost-effectiveness and profitability of products.
• Provide recommendations to improve cost efficiency.
• Support sales teams with estimates and bids.
• Prepare and track purchase orders and cost deliverables.
