Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting or related field.
• 6+ years of cost estimating experience or equivalent.
• Some travel locally, nationally or internationally may be required.
• High proficiency with MS Office and internet applications.
• Strong analytical, budgeting, project management and planning skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with data interpretation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and quantifies production cost factors (materials, labor, time).
• Gathers information via meetings or visits to determine costs.
• Reads blueprints and technical docs to prepare estimates.
• Collaborates with engineers, architects, clients and contractors on estimates.
• Discusses estimates with industry experts to resolve issues.
• Uses software to calculate estimates and generate reports.
