Job summary

PMA is seeking a Cost Analyst to join our portfolio of high-profile utility projects in New Jersey. This entry into project controls offers opportunities to analyze costs, support budgeting and forecasting, and deliver financial insights to project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 0+ years of experience in cost control or financial data analysis required.
• MS Word and PowerPoint experience preferred.
• Experience with databases and reporting preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Interest in construction, engineering, and project controls.
• Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training considered in lieu of stated minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.
• Review change orders, contracts, and payment applications.
• Perform cost analysis, variance reporting, and earned value tracking.
• Develop cost estimates and support risk-based cost strategies.
• Prepare and present cost reports and project cashflows to project stakeholders.
• Support the use of project controls and cost management systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
