Job summary
American Express Global Business Travel is seeking a Specialized Travel Consultant to provide high-touch travel arrangements for corporate clients from a home-based setup. You’ll coordinate domestic and international trips while upholding company travel policies and service standards.
The role requires native Amadeus GDS expertise, fluent German and English, and a client-focused mindset. You’ll collaborate with teams to meet KPIs, resolve issues promptly, and deliver an exceptional travel
Qualifications
- Experience in travel, preferably business travel.
- Passion for excellence in client service.
- Native GDS expertise (Amadeus).
- Fluent German and English.
- Attention to detail and integrity.
- Understanding of the travel industry.
- Ability to resolve issues quickly.
- Teamwork and openness to feedback.
Responsibilities
- Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers.
- Book domestic and international business travel for air, rail, and hotels.
- Use GDS systems (Sabre, Apollo, Amadeus, Galileo); training may be provided.
- Communicate with customers via phone, chat, email.
- Act as trusted advisor and suggest services within travel policy.
- Work individually and as a team to meet goals.
- Convert dissatisfied customers into loyal promoters via service recovery.
- Serve as primary contact and maintain professional relationships.
- Set realistic expectations and communicate resolutions clearly.
- Explain complex situations and deliver news confidently.
