Job summary

Riot Platforms is seeking a Corporate Associate to support corporate finance, strategic transactions, and public-company compliance. You will structure, negotiate, document, and execute complex projects in a fast-paced in-house environment, reporting to the VP, Associate General Counsel, Securities.

This role offers remote work with the option for hybrid in Austin, TX; Castle Rock, CO; Irvine, CA, and includes a competitive compensation package and extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 3+ years of corporate, finance, securities, or transactional legal experience.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with non-legal stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating with outside counsel and managing multiple transactions.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal business partners on corporate finance transactions, strategic initiatives, and other complex matters.
• Draft, review, and manage credit agreements, security agreements, guarantees, and related financing documentation.
• Coordinate with outside counsel, counterparties, and internal stakeholders on significant corporate projects.
• Support structuring, execution, closing, and post-closing administration of multiple transactions.
• Contribute to business development efforts.
• Help develop efficient legal processes and internal documentation standards.
• Perform other corporate, securities, and governance-related legal work as needs evolve.
