Riot Platforms is seeking an M&A Associate to support data center site leasing, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic corporate initiatives. You will report to the Chief Legal Officer and collaborate with business partners and outside counsel to structure, document, and close complex transactions.

This role is remote with the option for hybrid work at Austin, TX, Castle Rock, CO, or Irvine, CA. You will draft and negotiate purchase agreements, data center leases, conduct due diligence,

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in at least one U.S. state bar.
• 3+ years of M&A, real estate/leasing, or transactional legal experience.
• Data center or critical infrastructure experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal partners on M&A transactions and data center lease negotiations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements and related documentation.
• Conduct and coordinate legal due diligence for acquisitions and leasing opportunities.
• Coordinate with outside counsel, counterparties, and internal stakeholders.
• Support the structuring, execution, closing, and post-closing integration of deals.
• Help develop efficient legal processes and transaction-management standards.
